Manifold in Old News #1 – The American Surveyor

A review of Manifold is featured in The American Surveyor. Not exactly an exhaustive review and one glaring error – a complete misunderstanding of what an ESRI .LYR file is. Still it’s nice to see Manifold being pitched as true alternative to those other expensive fully featured GIS packages.

Edit: As pointed out by GISUser this article is actually a few years old.

I assumed, and you know what they say about assuming, wrongly that this was new as it was featured in Adena’s Quote of the Week.

    Thanks for pointing that out.

    FYI,
the article from the American surveyor Magazine have recently been re-published on a new domain at amerisurv.com – this is being built out as the online community and news portal for the magazine. As a result some “old” articles are creeping up on Google’s news crawl eventhoughthey were actually authored a couple of years ago.
